Key skills, roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:- Production of on-site design for IT cabling infrastructure projects. Producing detailed general arrangement drawings/plans to enable implementation of cabling projects Producing detailed cabinet/frame layouts, cable density drawings and schematic diagrams Co-ordination of project drawings, working closely with other trades in a site environment Co-ordination of project drawings from information stage through to construction stage CSCS trained Client facing Organising design meetings and liaison with Main Contractors, Consultants and Clients Adhering to and producing designs within strict project timescales Accurate and methodical Able to work independently, self motivated, able to prioritise workload within a busy environment, able to manage multiple projects. Maximising the design within the project budget constraints Carrying out design changes and liaising with Clients/Consultants Providing costs for additional works and maximising attainable profit on all opportunities Ability to identify, mitigate and minimise risk on initial project design and additional works Knowledge / Experience Required Connectivity specific accreditation e.g. BICSI RCDD. Working within the IT cabling industry for 5 years, 2 of these years in a design capacity. An understanding of one or more of the following manufacturer product sets. Systimax Uniprise Corning Brand Rex Tyco Nexans An understanding and working knowledge of IT cabling infrastructure related UK, European and international standards.
