HEALTH & SAFETY MANAGER Location: Surrey, South East Salary: to £38K + Car Allowance Job Function: To provide Health & Safety, Environmental support, advice and information to all internal staff as well as client/ customers & suppliers. Ensuring that the simplest and most effective systems are implemented and compliance is maintained in all areas of the Company’s operations to a standard format in the field and across all offices. To formulate and agree future H&S, Environmental strategies to ensure a safety conscious culture is developed including identifying all training needs within the company at all levels. Role - To promote, develop and improve Health & Safety systems within corporate guidelines throughout he organisation. - To ensure existing environmental management systems are maintained - Provision of information, advice and instruction on the agreed procedures and legal and moral duties of the Company in line with Company, local and national legislation. - Development of Health & Safety and Environmental procedures to maintain and improve upon the level of service provided and in line with all current legal and moral duties. - Implement regular and impromptu site inspections for quality & safety. - Analysis of Health & Safety, Environmental performance via internal audits. - Accident and incident investigation, report findings, including recommendations - Analysis and evaluation of existing processes, procedures and systems to identify areas for improvement. - Ensure that as far as possible all H & S data / legislation supplied to the company is up to date. (eg COSHH ) via the safety team. - Maintain regular contact with EH&S representatives to ascertain if EH&S laws and guidelines are being upheld. - Maintain a register of First Aiders and ensure the adequate provision of first-aid and welfare facilities. - Ensure all First Aiders are appropriately trained, and (subject to qualification) provide training to members of staff to enable them to become First Aiders.
